Signs and Symptoms. While fatty liver usually does not have any associated symptoms, some people may experience symptoms of this disease. The most common symptom is a small amount of abdominal discomfort. Some people may even become fatigued with this disease. Extra fat found in a person’s liver causes inflammation of said liver. A person may have additional symptoms including: weakness, abdominal pain, confusion, weight loss and poor appetite. If someone experiences any of these symptoms, they should go to their doctor as soon as possible to be tested for fatty liver disease as well as other ailments.
