The Causes, Risk Factors, Childhood and Adult Symptoms of Concussions

Each year, millions of people are treated for a type of traumatic brain injury called a concussion. A concussion is a condition where the brain is forced back and forth inside the skull so hard that it becomes bruised, swollen, and inflamed. Unfortunately, there is no cure for this condition. And its effects can have an impact on a person for months. So it is best that people of all ages become educated on the causes, risk factors, and symptoms of a concussion so that they will know what to do if it ever happens to them.

Information. Children generally recover from a concussion faster than adults do because they are able to heal more efficiently. But this changes if they suffer from a series of concurrent concussions. After the third time of it happening, it takes much longer for its effects to wear off.
