Throbbing headaches. Dehydration can cause a throbbing heat related headache, or even a migraine. During hot temperatures the body requires more water to compensate for what’s lost as the body perspires. Any time you spend time under the hot sun and develop a headache, heat stroke is possible. Other factors that contribute to a heat headache are the glare of the sun, bright sunlight and sudden changes in barometric pressure. If you experience a dull, throbbing sensation in your head, fatigue and a sensitivity to light, get out of the sun immediately. Drink plenty of water, as well as a sports drink containing electrolytes.
