Congestion, headaches, and coughs are common symptoms for various ailments, including allergies or a cold. Facial pain and pressure. Pain and pressure around one’s forehead, eyes, checks and nose are a common symptom of blocked and inflamed sinuses. The minuscule holes between the sinus cavities and nasal passages become blocked. As mucus accumulates in the sinus cavities, a person may feel pressure and heaviness and hence facial pain.
