A stye is a pimple or a red bump that forms on the edge of the eyelid. Usually, the eyelids have tiny oil glands around the eyelashes. The small holes can be blocked by oil build up, dirt, or even dead skin. The blockage provides a conducive environment for bacteria to grow which results in stye in development. Turmeric and milk. Turmeric can be used as a home remedy for so many ailments and a stye is no exception. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help in fighting the condition. For the best outcome, turmeric needs to be used to make a wash for the stye and should be applied at least two times a day. The other alternative would be to make a drink of warm milk and turmeric.
